Marie Y. DeRoy, "Mary" 86, passed away peacefully, Monday, December 17, 2018, at the Philip Hulitar Hospice center. She is survived by her beloved and devoted husband of 64 years, Leo P. DeRoy. Born in Cumberland, RI, she was the daughter of the late Mederic and Albina (Viens) Dufault.

She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mary is survived by her loving children, John DeRoy (Gail) of Pawtucket, Anthony DeRoy (Rosa) of Johnston, Joanne McQuesten (Bruce) of Lincoln, Leo DeRoy Jr. (Lori) of Charlestown, and Carolyn Melillo (Jon) of Forestdale, MA. Her 12 grandchildren, Michael, Christopher, Melissa, Jennifer, Andrew, Alison, Aimee, Marissa, Anthony, Carly, Jon and Grace and nine great grandchildren. Mary leaves her dear sister, Yvonne Paquin. She was the sister of the late Leo Dufault, Mederic Dufault, Theresa Frechette, Halbert Dufault, Emma Lavoie, Rose Paquin, Arthur Dufault and Herman Dufault.

Prior to retiring as a lunch aid with the Pawtucket School Department, Mary was employed at E.A. Adams & Sons. She was a member of St. Mary's Parish and volunteered as a Eucharistic Minister for 15 years at church and at the Oak Hill Nursing Home. Mary loved cooking and spending time with her family. She was an avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriot fan.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 from 4pm - 7pm at the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave. Lincoln, RI. Her funeral will be held Thursday at 8:45am in the Keefe Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Mary Church, 103 Pine St., Pawtucket. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.
